This standalone is 🔥🔥🔥. I love how u did the flash back in the beginning giving us heads up on their bad start off. But my girl was dealt a bad hand at first that put her on the top at the end. And my baby heat I love the way he taken that hit for capro that shows loyalty, but in the end he came out on top of the world as well even with his girl ex burning down this barber shop and trying too take my girl and baby out for the count. I seen baby girl has some gangsta in her blood for her too save her momma but putting a bullet in his stomach. Ohhhh girl ex was bitch made he didn't have it in his blood to do the streets he complained way too much for me and did my girl wrong in the process. I got one question what happened to heat pin pal after his girl did that. But u did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of ur books
This was a good read, a more down to earth realistic approach to the hood. I hated Yoshi, he was not even a tough guy compared to Heat. You will definitely see where heat gets his name from because he brought it the moment he was released. The only thing that threw me off in this book was Mina reaching out to her dad for help, I'm expecting to see this big time drug dealer turned attorney that can make anything happen to hearing nothing else. The only other time they are mentioned is when heat approach them. Lay was the best friend every girl needs a true ride or die. The side chick jail chick just kind of disappeared but the story was good. I will read more from this author.
Thanks Taniece for completing the Mina & Heat love story, I was devastated and saddened when Heat took the charge for Capo, I understood and his time away have him time to grow up. Heat going to prison impacted Mina in a serious way her drinking I dressed and she was popping pills, not to mention Yoshi wasn't worth a quater, his inadequacy led Minaback I to Beat arms. I had a feeling Kaylee was Heat daughter. Lay &Capo were hilarious! I love the family concept. This book was definitely a page turner from start to finish!
I was waiting on this book cause I knew that Mina and Heat wasn't over. I didn't see how Mina could ever trust Yoshi after he came after Capo. I was glad he showed his true colors and Heat came back to get his family. The storyline was good and it kept my attention til the end. Now I need to get Cherice story cause you left that wide open. Great job
Heat and Mina love was so beautiful. Lay was a whole goon by herself😂😂😂. Capo was so nonchalant about changing those pills lmao. I kind of understood Yoshi side of everything. Did he take things too far yes he did. Imagine being lied to for 5 years by the person you loved. Mina should have been truthful from the very beginning.
Kaylee know what Yoshi was doing to her mama, she wasn't stupid she is her daddy daughter. Capo was trying to get Lay pregnant and what did she call Mina for what was she going to expect what she did. Mina went to buy Lay a pregnancy test. Mina put that good good on Yoshi, now he don't want to leave her alone.
Yoshi had to go and I knew that it wasn't his baby in book two I'm glad that heat finally learned his lesson before her lost Amina for good and he gained a daughter as well. Lay crazy ass capo finally but a baby in her all the couple's got there happy ending
Really enjoyed this standalone. I like Heat and Mina a together and so glad they found their way back to each other. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Held my attention from beginning to end. Would enjoy reading Cherice story. Good job Taniece.
