I was surprised by this sequel, which is quite fitting based on its topic. I really enjoy the first interrupting chicken book and didn’t realize a sequel had come out. Then, I thought it was funny because it’s about the element of surprise. This book is delightful and funny. Definitely lives up to its predecessor, and it made me laugh out loud.
Even though I personally asked the author for a sequel to the Interrupting Chicken, I am disappointed finally getting the 2nd book. It's derivative. Maybe that's why he rolled his eyes when I asked him.
I tried to write a decent review on this but I kept getting interrupted by a chicken! Just kidding, this book was great my nieces loved it, and read it to me all the time.
This is a great story in the tradition of the interrupting chicken. As an adult, I enjoy the humor behing the elephant of surprise.
This book is yet another fun book to read. Interrupting chicken does it again! Who doesn’t love an elephant of surprise!
Another big hit with kids! These books are enormously popular read-aloud options for elementary school kids of all ages.
What a very clever premise!!!! At a birthday party even the adults laughed hard at the story. In fact I later bought another copy for the adult who laughed so hard at the story. The book was indeed an elephant of surprise!
Grandma and the grandkids are enjoying the story.
