Nice book! Great Pics and articles.

This is a well-made book and has much information on the weavers of that era. There are many photos of the beautiful coverlets, but I had hoped for more information on the particular weaver that I was interested in. I own one of the coverlets that he wove which was made in 1845 and wanted to know more about him. He was a relative on my husband's side of the family and it was woven for a relative on my side of the family, with both names on the coverlet. This book adds to my collection.

I was doing a research project on coverlets and bought this book. There are so many lovely coverlets in this book, I would buy it just for that reason alone. There is some other text but the really beauty are the photos of the many different coverlets. Also helpful is the index of known weavers in the back.

This book is a great reference guide as well as an informative read on coverlets and their weavers. It is broken down by geographic area which also breaks down the dyes used, the patterns found, and more. I'd recommend it.

This book certainly has a large block of information about woven coverlets and a great documentation of the weavers in the 19th century. It is a great source of information for the collecter interested in woven goods.
